Our Fitness Principles

  • Being good stewards of the bodies God has given us, by pursuing and consistently improving our physical fitness and health

  • Stability, mobility, coordination, strength, agility, speed, flexibility and endurance, using bodyweight exercises, resistance training, cardiorespiratory activities, and games

  • Safety and joint protection through proper technique and movement

  • Working hard at something physical to reach a goal

  • Experiencing the reward of accomplishment and increased confidence after reaching a goal

  • Perceiving physical activity as fulfilling and fun, especially when shared with others

  • Gratefulness for the bodies God gave us; each class closes with a brief prayer

  • Pre-K Classes target gross motor skills such as balance, coordination, flexibility, and spatial/body awareness, while focusing on self-confidence, positive attitude, cooperation, listening/following directions, and healthy life skills

Our Fitness Programming

for Kids & Teens Classes

  • Warm-Up & Cool-down

    Proper body preparation and recovery; dynamic stretching to increase and protect joint range-of-motion; static stretching to repair muscles and increase flexibility

  • Varied Workout Formats

    AMRAP, stations, tabata, obstacle course, ladder, EMOM, timed, team-building

  • Core and Balance

    Such as superman, plank variations, floor bridges, single-leg exercises, hopscotch, abdominal exercises

  • Cardiorespiratory

    Such as jogging and jump roping

  • Resistance Training

    Usually using bodyweight exercises such as pushups, lunges, squats, pull-up variations and suspension trainer rows; sometimes using resistance with dumbbells ,medicine balls, or kettlebells

  • Total Body

    Such as animal walking, mountain climbers, up-downs, burpees, jumping jacks

  • Playground

    Such as monkey bars, jumping pull-ups, rope climbing, and balance obstacles

  • Plyometric

    Such as squat jumps, lateral hurdle hops, line jumps, broad jumps

  • Speed, Agility, and Quickness

    Such as ladder drills, shuttle runs, sprint intervals

  • Fitness Tracking

    End-of semester fitness challenges, regular formal assessments for Teens, informal assessments for Kids

A Typical Class Flow

KIDS AND TEENS CLASSES

  • Warm-up/dynamic stretching/hydration

  • Instruction

  • Practice new movements

  • Explanation of the day’s workout

  • Ask questions/hydration

  • WORKOUT

  • Final challenge - Teens class only

  • Closing game - Kids class only

  • Cool-down/hydration/static stretching

  • Announcements and dismissal prayer

PRE-K CLASSES

  • Warm-up/dynamic stretching/hydration

  • Varied games and activities that promote movement and fun

  • Gross motor skills targeted: balance, coordination, flexibility, spatial/body awareness

Cost

Cost per family:

$40/month for 1 child
$70/month for 2 children
$93/month for 3 children
$102/month for 4 children
$130/month for 5 children


Cost Includes:

  • Weekly group session focused on fitness, fun, hard work, and self-confidence

  • Exercise programming for optional workouts which kids can do at home between sessions

  • Private Google Classroom group where you receive important class updates, encouragement from the coach, and the opportunity to engage in class-related activities
